At The Mustard Seed Behavioral Health, we believe children thrive when they're surrounded by caring adults, positive role models, and opportunities to discover their strengths. This month, we're featuring Fresh Word Ministries, Inc. DBA Team Nitro MMA SEALTeam, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people grow into confident, disciplined, and resilient leaders.

A Mission Born from Personal Experience
Founder and President Dr. Nahshon Nicks knows firsthand the power that caring adults can have in a child's life.
Growing up, his biological father was incarcerated, and his mother struggled with substance abuse. Despite those challenges, mentors, pastors, teachers, coaches, and community leaders stepped in to provide the encouragement, guidance, and support that changed the trajectory of his life.
Rather than keeping that gift to himself, Dr. Nicks chose to create Team Nitro MMA SEALTeam so today's youth could experience that same life-changing support.
He shares:
"It takes God to raise a village, and a village to raise a child."
That belief continues to shape every aspect of the organization's work.

Team Nitro MMA SEALTeam primarily serves youth ages 5–18 throughout Northeast Florida, with a special focus on children and families in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities.
